Lazy days of summer.......

My eye......hahaha... Our summers always go by really fast but this one was a real whirlwind. I have so many pictures and stories to share and now that things are settling down a bit.. ha.. like your going to believe that old line..huh?..
This is the our latest camping adventure. We had to squeeze it in at the very last minute. Allison has already started high-school ( first year at public school, doing well) and Jennifer is back at school as well. So Daddy and Jennifer set up camp on Weds. and Allison and I went up on Saturday for the day. Daddy cooked us a yummy, must have camping breakfast... bacon and scrambled eggs... yum!
Allison and Lily soaked in some hammock time. Ahhhhhh no chores!!!
Jennifer helped Daddy out of the chair after the fabric gave up. Farewell beloved lawn chair. You have been good to us.
And we got to the top and watched a most beautiful sunset. The colors on the mountains were amazing. I tried to capture it here but you just can't see it the way it really was.
This is it...... This is Cuyamaca Peak from the east, looking west. We don't see this side very often as we live on the other side. We watched and snapped pictures until the sun was completely gone... sealed it with a kiss... and headed back to camp for the main event... SOMORES!!!!!!

More later... Wishing you the blessing of many more beautiful sunsets, Sue

uh Spelling????

If it wouldn't have taken so long to actually post that darn last post...( some html thing kept popping up, Buggy had to help) I would be appauled at the fact that I forgot to spellcheck and therefore didn't come off as miss perfect speller. hahaha Pleaze skuz the spelink hahaha

Good Morning Coffee Rambles, really long....

After a really rough start on Monday, late to a much awaited Drs. appt. because I coudn't find the insurance papers, that I didn't remember I needed to take until I was walking out the door. And then realizing that even after the 23 + years that I ahve lived in this town that I didn't know which end of Main was East , and after calling Seth to rescue me with directions to the darn place I still went to the wrong office that was closed, with the sign saying open Tues - Thurs. DAMN....
I had a wonderful afternoon... Picked up Buggy from the ranch and we went to Wal-mart. Wal-mart ????? you say...... Well yes and here is why it was so good. First I had Buggy with me and we were getting along really, really well.... And I found this..... A beautiful Spider plant that, is soooooo huge I had to transplant it up at least 3 pot sizes, for 50% off because it was bursting out of it's pot... DEAL... We also found three pairs of jeans for school ( this is a miricle). Jeans and she was being nice to me... no way. hahaha...
Since then it's been really good since I was able to re-schedule the appt and make it this time.

So with coffe cup in hand, this morning I went out to my patio to enjoy the beauty God brought me this morning. My Basil is doing really well... Isn't it lovely?

The Imatiens are'nt looking the least bit impatient to me.....
And someone else enjoyed my little pice of heaven last night just the same way I do. Though I can't compare my weaving to the intricate beauty you see here. She/He was is much more industrios then me.. Takes me alot longer too. Maybe the "spider plant" seemed an invitation??haha
My friend has always wanted me to make some "single ply" and to be quite honest it has always scared me a bit. My thought are you can pretty much "fix" any "too much twist" spots with plying. So I did it..... 2 oz. Silk/Merino that I got a while ago. Lace Weight, lots of yards, I can't remember right now. I'm not scared anymore... Thanks Susan.
I will close for now as somthing has arrived in the mail, a package from New York.... Dun Dun Dun........

Blessings, Sue

Wow!!! A Blessed Day Indeed!!!

Well, here they are....... Daddy and Daughter...What a Blessed Day !!!! The day was perfect.. The wedding was perfect... The food at the reception..great... The Honeymoon, again, perfect.
The Happy bride and groom are back and settled in their new home. Even though it is not as close as I would have liked...Georgia... I believe they are where God wants them to be and that will be good enough for me. The fact that many miles separate us is really just an annoying detail, for now anyway. We still talk just about everyday...Oh , okay everyday.
I will share more pictures of the wedding later, Our dear friend and photographer is still out there on East Coast having a great vacation I hope. I do have pictures of the rest of our vacation to show you as well. Sorry it took so long to post at all. I haven't really felt like writing. But I do now.... So hopfully I'll be back in the swing of it all again...
Till later then ..... Blessings Sue

.....Kids.......Oh..MY..Gosh.......

My husband is fond of saying , usually while laughing " I new there was a reason we had kids" This was what he said today, but last night things were a bit tense around here. You see after dinner Allison came in, hysterically announcing that 'Sybic' is not in her cage..............

Great..... Maybe this is Gods way of getting her to clean her room..... because after searching every where...........
We finally found 'Sybic'.......... In the wall..........
And Daddy is our HERO once again................ yahhhhhhh Daddy !!!!!!!............
Many slithering blessings your way, Sue

Baking

When I'm happy, I bake... When I'm sad, I bake.... When I want to let someone know I love them or am thinking of them, I bake for them... Baking fills a special need.. Its good.
Pies or more specifically, pie crusts have always been a challenge for me...Until now. I met a really great lady who was having a bit of trouble with her sock knitting. So we traded...
I taught her some of my techniques and she taught me some of hers. Its just so happens that she is an accomplished pie maker and now I can make a killer crust.
The filling ain't too bad either......
Next time you get the chance I would love to fill your tummy with a piece pie and a cup of tea.
Many yummy blessings for you, Sue
