Baby.... It's HOT outside!!!!!

Oh.. the delight of an unopened container of Jelly Bellys. I Love them. Lets see there's watermelon and sweet juicy pear and banana and root beer and buttered popcorn. The list goes on and on. And then you can combine them to come up with your very own taste sensation!!!!!!!

And this Kirkland container is nothing short of HUGE!!!!!! 4 pounds of the delightful little flavor filled orbs..... AHHHHHH Do you have a favorite flavor!!! I'd love to hear.
Its so gol darn HOT right now. Its actually 104 degrees outside. Thank heavens for the AC. cause its a balmy 77 inside. I can think of no better way to wile away the day then working on my beautiful baby jacket. Stopping only now and then to pop a jelly in my mouth. The pictures are a little blurry but you can see its coming along really nicely.

This is the neckline and the petals actually face down. So I guess to get the right angle you need to either stand on you head or turn you monitor upside down. hahahah Do you love it, Carlye? I do. I love how it looks and how it feels, its so soft and I'm enjoying every stitch.

I finally got some Coleus. This isn't the best shot, it sorta washed out with the flash. Ill get better ones later. Stay cool and send me some of the jelly belly combos you do so I can try them too!!!!
Blessings, Sue

Now... I know that looking into a pair of eyes like this is bound to make a person lose all resolve and give in to whatever the bearer of these eyes would like.... It's hard to say no to this... Especially when you really don't want to in the first place... hahahaha Carlye came to visit and to take care of me a short time following my surgery. Having a very small house with no real guest room we set up the "blow up" bed in the living room. Matt and Carlye don't mind, honest. The WEENS however, are usually ecstatic, as they presume this bed to be theirs as well. It all starts with the "eyes".......
Quickly followed by the "pleases" and the "I'm so cute ses" This is Buster. He's the lover boy who usually always gets his way with the ladies around here!!!!
Ahhhhhhh Yes!!!!!!!!!! Pure unadulterated BLISS!!!!!!! This is definitely worth all the wiggles and smiles and pleases to get here.

And because he's such a nice guy. He shares!!!!!

It's really cute when Matt is here and his true love is Bailey and I usually awaken to Carlye snuggling buster and Bailey wrapped in Matt's arms with Gus and the cats everywhere else. I missed seeing you here Matt!!!!!! It's not the same without you.............
Blessings , Sue

Make new friends, keep the old... and throw some out ?

I'd like to introduce you to my new friend!...Well not exactly, the exact new friend, but a picture of his/her distant cousin. This is a Zimmer New Generation High Flex complete knee joint replacement. As of May 10th. I have a new joint in my right knee!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the view of my life on the afternoon of May 10. I had on these darling little booties that took turns smacking the heck out of the bottom of my feet, I'll tell you they drove me CRAZY. But they did their job and I never did get a blood clot!!! Actually they were "squeezing" me feet. Ha.. I received an injection of Sim visc in my left knee to see if it would make it a bit stronger during recovery, thats why its all yellow!!
I'm glad that along with myself, my doctors and nurses had a great sense of humor. Once they found out my initials... They had a great laugh and wrote them on my leg. hahahahahahaha

The next picture is not for the faint of heart. This is still when I had in the staples. I had 28 of them. Notice the lines and marks on my leg, these are the "line up" marks so my leg will be put back together correctly. I had alot of bruising and very much pain. I am still on pain medications and am not able to drive. The plus is that I have no more pain in my actual "joint" since the arthritis is gone now!!! I can walk, and stand on this knee and it feels quite stable and secure. I go to Physical Therapy once a week now,(it was 2) and I have learned alot!!!!!

This is the view I was able to enjoy over Fathers Day. My family has taken the utmost care of me, They are terrific. Seth was able to take off work and the girls helped with the cooking and house keep. Carlye came for about 10 days and I was thoroughly spoiled by her as well!!!

I will be enjoying my recovery, walking is a blessing alot of us take for granted, and hopefully writing on here often. I have discussed with my surgeon and we have decided that my knee replacement for the left knee will be as soon as I'm recovered comfortably from this one!!! Possibly in about 3 months. One down...... One to go......
I do have a schedule to keep... A secret of sorts... I'll tell you next time!!!!! Its a good one!
Be Blessed, Be active!!!!!!

Sir Thomas Edward I

Sir Thomas Edward the First... AKA... The mighty hunter.... He stalks his prey courageously, never faltering, never failing. He knows that there is much more to being a Nobel then mere handsomeness alone. He stalks the darkest depths of the chicken coop, never letting a single movement distract him from bringing down...... the awesome, the fearsome........... GRUB ????? Ok fair maiden, not impressed with my heroic deed ? Then back out into the immense and always treacherous backyard to save you and ,yay, the entire household from........
A COCKROACH ????? ( Ok, this one grosses me out and I am grateful for its demise, but the living room floor, please!!!)

Ah yes and after a hard days work, fraught with all sorts of unknown dangers

To lie about and be adorable, and adored by my loyal subjects...Well. Now that's the life!!!

Ahhhhhhh yes.... Feel free to bask in my glow!!!!

I have no clever title........

Sorry for the long gap in time.... I have been recovering from yet another knee surgery, this time on my left knee, and am having a complete knee replacement on my right knee on May 10th. Needless to say, I have been more than a bit preoccupied with the recovery process and getting ready for this next one. I have really missed writing and hope to continue for a long time. Please bear with me and come back by often!!!! It's that time of year again. Everything is popping here in San Diego. It is beautiful. Jennifer brought me a bloom from my tea cup roses. It goes perfectly with the bottle Matt got me for Christmas. Sassy likes the smell!!!!
This chickens are hoppin'. We're getting 7 eggs a day. Yayyyyyyyy! I just love the eggs we get. I know exactly who layed what and what she ate to do it!!! Aren't they lovely.

And Miss Lily got her annual shave this morning. Shes looks like a little spring lamb. She is actually really good while this is going on. But then again, she likes to be vacuumed too. hahah

Looks like Jennifer needs to shave too. hahahaaha maybe she could start a new fashion trend. Nawwwwwwww...... I don't think it would fly!!!
And last but not least

I need to get some things for this up coming event and told Seth tonight that I needed to go to Wal-Mart tomorrow. This is our lovely daughters interpretation of the conversation. hahahahah
Blessings til next time, Sue

Spring has Sprung!!!!

If you have been reading my blog for awhile you will know that I have posted pictures similar to this one in the past. Its just that, when the hill behind my home bursts with this spectacular display, I know that Spring is definitely here!!!!! ( I'm sorry for those of you still dealing with bits of snow here and there.... but it's coming.....I promise.) On Friday Seth "weed whacked" the bottom half and left the top half of the little hill, still in full bloom. He did this both for Me, cause every year he says (with a sparkle of ornery in his eye) " "time to weed whack the hill" and I reply " aggghhhh not yet, my flowers are just starting" and he laughs and I laugh. This is how it happens now. This is because he endured a few years of not mentioning anything until after the "weed whacking" fact and had to deal with my sulking and whining about "how could he" and "what a jerk" and "I was waiting all year for them to bloom again" and sniff sniff you get the picture.
And this year....Lola. On Sunday we ( Allison, Lola and Thomas) enjoyed the little hill for awhile. Lola loved the freshly mowed grass!! And Thomas and Allison enjoyed the sunshine and soft breezes. ( she did not like the fact that the grass I made her sit in for these photos was wet, hee hee, and that there were bees on just about every single yellow bloom just waiting to sink its stinger into her sun warmed flesh. Not really that was her story, the bees didn't even see her there.

Isn't Thomas a noble looking fellow. You can see where his name ' Sir Thomas Edward Cutes Alot' comes from can't you. He must be in on every single thing, and he must know what all his loyal subjects are doing at all times. He constantly makes sure we all know he is in on all the action with his loud and persistent mewing. What a handsome and endearing young feline.

And Lola loves her "mama" Goats are so adorable. They have the sweetest and cutest personalities.

I'm not sure what it is she found here, but she was fascinated by this lump of granite sticking out of the side of the hill........ She studied it for quite awhile.....

Then pawed at it with her little hoof..... Isn't that too cute....

And finally found what she was after.... ???..... I'm still not sure what it was. But when she was satisfied she scampered a bucked and ran around just happy to be alive. I wish i had a video of it to share. The day was peaceful, warm and relaxing.... Just the way a spring day should be.

Thanks for stopping by... Blessings to you and yours, Sue
